When it came to inventory management, ITEC found that it was delivering much less control over this pivotal area as it wanted to. As the opportunities grew so did the complexity of the inventory management across their current supply chain. The administrative tasks associated with having multiple partners and managing the back end of that supply chain were key challenges. ITEC felt that inventory management was a huge part of their service offering and potential business growth. As a result, it wanted to be able to take advantage of, driving efficiencies and fulfilling a growing pipeline of opportunities in a proactive manner.
ITEC and Agilitas decided to build a strategic alliance, expanding both companies’ service offerings. This meant that ITEC could offer its partners Agilitas’ Inventory-as-a-Service solution, and utilise its expertise in complex international IT inventory management.
The two companies can now approach partners with a comprehensive end-to-end global service offering, helping their customers to simplify their existing supply chain. Working together, the two companies can satisfy customers’ requirements for a broader array of services, provided by one partner; for example, not just deliver an IT system to a customer’s site, but send an highlyskilled engineer along with it to install it and attach a first class maintenance services contract.
