Agilitas, the leading IT channel services innovator, has announced it has successfully raised £1,750 for Macmillan Cancer Support at CRN Fight Night.
Taking place at The Brewery in London, the event saw some of the most prolific channel leaders go head-to-head in white collar boxing matches to raise money for their chosen charities. With over 500 industry professionals in attendance, the CRN Fight Night has raised over £200,000 since it began in 2008.
Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the largest charities in Britain that provides specialist healthcare, information and financial support to those affected by cancer, was the charity of choice for Agilitas who was represented in the ring by Sales Executive, Nicky ‘Pretty Boy’ Powell. Nicky spent three demanding months training in preparation for the event and, despite narrowly missing out on a victory, was supported by Agilitas colleagues and customers on the night.
Agilitas Sales Executive, Nicky Powell, comments: “I was thrilled to take part in the CRN Fight Night and to be able to raise over £1,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support feels a great achievement.” Agilitas has raised thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support over the years through a number of charity events and were delighted when Nicky selected Macmillan Cancer Support as his chosen charity.
He continues: “It’s a shame that I was unable to claim victory this time round but it was a fantastic experience that I was proud to be part of, and I want to thank all my colleagues and customers that have supported me throughout.”
Agilitas Marketing Director, Richard Eglon, comments: “Everyone here at Agilitas are really proud of Nicky’s commitment and hard work representing the Agilitas brand at such a high profile industry event. The professionalism he demonstrated throughout his training right through to the fight night was of no surprise to those who know Nicky. To raise so much money for such a worthy cause is great testament to a highly valued member of the Agilitas team.”
