On Tuesday 10th November, Agilitas IT Solutions hosted their most successful CRN On event since its debut in 2015. Titled 2020: The Year Tech Changed The World, headline sponsor and leading global channel services provider, Agilitas IT Solutions, marked the occasion as the first time this collaborative channel event has been hosted exclusively on a virtual platform. The event covered a range of channel industry topics, with a focus on business transformation in the age of lockdown.
Richard Eglon, Marketing Director at Agilitas IT Solutions, says: “The performance of this week’s event has been extremely encouraging. By moving to an online platform, this annual forum has effectively quadrupled the number of attendees that were registered at 2019’s physical event. Additionally, our varied programme was key in broadening our audience, which this year included a host of CEOs, directors, managing partners and senior sales from the wider IT channel industry.”
The programme included a keynote session on digital evolution and the acceleration of next generation channel services, as well as a panel discussion on the challenges posed by the disruption caused by COVID-19. Shaun Lynn, CEO of Agilitas IT Solutions, took part in both and was joined by a variety of guest speakers, including Annabel Berry (Chief Executive Officer – Sapphire) Bob Olwig (Vice President, Business Development and Marketing – World Wide Technology), Gareth Davies (Head of IT and Infrastructure – UNiDAYS) and Manuj Sarpal (Chief Technology Officer – GraniteShares).
Shaun Lynn says: “This year’s theme is a recognition of the seismic impact that recent events have had on our daily lives. Although digital transformation had been on the horizon for many companies, it was never expected to undergo a wholesale implementation so quickly. For companies operating in the channel, it has meant that they have needed to adjust their services and support processes to help serve their partners in a more flexible and agile manner. Now that we are adapting to this new normal, events like CRN On allow us to assess and discuss on mass how successful this transformation has been.”
Richard Eglon concludes: “While CRN On’s successful move to a digital platform is a direct reflection of the transformation that we discussed throughout the event, we’re also conscious of the appeal and benefits of hosting a physical event like we’ve done in previous years. As a result, we’re already looking forward to next year, when we will hopefully be able to combine the best qualities of both mediums.”
