Corporate Social Responsibility

Being a responsible company not only compliments the long-term business objectives of Agilitas; but it also helps to define our strategy, identity, and the way we do business.

Our challenge is to further increase our long-term competitiveness with minimal impact on people and the environment, while generating maximum value for our stakeholders.

This obligation includes fulfilling the social and environmental commitments to our employees, customers, partners, and shareholders in addition to the communities in which we operate. We are always ready to adapt and embrace new technology and work practices to make certain we are doing everything that we can to improve all areas of our business.

We endeavor to deal with risks to Agilitas’s business from social, environmental and ethical matters, with a sensible and considerate approach to enhance shareholder value – We believe that our customer’s successes are our successes.

More specifically, Agilitas’s policies cover the following:

Employee Health and Safety

The company as a whole take our health and safety duties very seriously; with all working environments being kept clean and safe. However; it is the overall responsibility of management to ensure that all legal regulations are up to date, under regular review, and adhered to at every level; for the benefit of both employees and visitors on the premises alike.

Employee Equal Opportunities

Agilitas provides equal opportunities to all employees, and prospective employees; we do not discriminate under any circumstances. All of our employees are encouraged to innovate, improve, and further develop their knowledge and skills set, and to progress their careers to the mutual benefit of the company and employee.

We work under a ‘treat others how you wish to be treated yourselves’ policy to ensure that everyone is afforded respect within the workplace. We do not tolerate any form of workplace bullying or harassment; any suspected wrongdoing can be reported confidentially under our ‘whistle-blowing’ policy.

Business relationships

Agilitas takes pride and passion in everything we do; we seek to be honest, fair and competitive in our relationships with all customers and suppliers. Every attempt is made to ensure that products and services are provided to the agreed standards, to deliver first time, every time and to the highest possible quality. Having a multinational customer base we ensure we take into account any cultural differences across the various territories in which we operate.

We operate a ‘no bribe’ policy; meaning that none of our employees should accept any form of bribery or corrupt payments, engage in any anti-competitive practices or knowingly be involved in any fraud or money laundering.

Community and environment

Agilitas takes all necessary actions to ensure that our business operations do not have a negative impact on the environment. We comply with all local environmental regulations, we also promote the effective management of natural resources and encourage our employees to work in an energy efficient manner and recycle where possible to minimise waste.

The vast majority of products Agilitas deals with are non-hazardous; however, when we do have to deal with a hazardous substance we ensure minimised risk by applying appropriate labelling and technical information, in conjunction with proper training on the handling, storage and disposal of such products.

The company has implemented procedures to ensure compliance with the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2004, the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations and the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2005.
